VSIPL: Providing Ease of Porting
SKY Computers has supported the development of VSIPL since its inception
in 1996 and has actively contributed to the design and the development process
of this new API. SKY is the first vendor of embedded computers to provide its
customers with a substantial subset of VSIPL functionality, nearly 1500 functions
altogether, most of which are optimized for Motorola's MPC7400 G4 microprocessors
with AltiVec technology. It is precisely this combination of a library designed by
an industry-wide committee and the utilization of the ground breaking compiler and
AltiVec technologies inside SKY's VSIPL that results in a fully portable, high
performance mathematical library.
